Shipping times are dependent on the product. Most standard orders are shipped within three weeks. If your order includes custom artwork, the shipping timeframe will extend to approximately five weeks. We understand that urgent needs may arise, and we are often able to expedite orders upon request. Smaller items typically ship within one 5 to 10 days.
We process payment for your order only at the time of shipment. If you placed teh order online, your credit card was only authorized, the funds were not captured.
Typically, the shipping documentation is prepared on the day your order ships, or occasionally, the day before. For orders placed online, your card will be charged in two separate transactions: first for the original order amount, and then a second charge for the shipping costs. If placed with me on the phone, we will charge it in one transaction for the full amount.
Following these transactions, you will receive a paid copy of your invoice, along with tracking information if it's available. Please note that tracking details may sometimes become available the day after your order has shipped.
Due to the many variables involved in shipping shopping carts, our online system is unable to provide an instant freight calculation. Factors such as the shipping warehouse, your destination (residential, commercial, or limited access), and any special services like a liftgate all affect the final cost.
Here's how the process works:
After you place your order, we will send you an email with a detailed shipping quote.
If you approve the shipping cost, simply reply to the email or give us a call. We will then process your order, send you a confirmation with the total cost and estimated ship date.
If you decide to cancel, just let us know and we will cancel your order.
Once your order ships, we will charge your card and send you a paid invoice and tracking information as soon as we receive it from the warehouse.
Please note: Your credit card is not charged when you place the order. It is only authorized to ensure the card is valid. The final charges for the product and shipping will be processed separately afterwe ship your order.
The price of shopping carts vary depending on style, size and condition. At Carriage Trade, we carry a variety of each to fulfill your needs. Reconditioned shopping carts might cost as little as $85 and new large shopping carts could be over $200.
Your old shopping carts can be traded in, donated, or recycled at your local scrap yard. Many times we can not take your old cart at our warehouse due to the cost of shipping. At those times, you might be better off calling the local scrap yard to have them removed and recycled or donating them to a local food bank.
With proper maintenance, shopping carts can last for a very long time. In my experience, a well maintained shopping cart can last for more than 20 years. I still see some of the old style chrome carts from the 80's. If the metal shopping carts are painted to prevent rust, the only part that typically wears out are the wheels. We have replacement wheels available if you need them.
According to some studies, yes, larger shopping carts do make customer purchase more. One study suggested doubling the size of the cart increase sales by 40%.
